Privacy Policy
Effective date: the release date of the App · Last updated: September 24, 2026 (Android version added) · The Korean version (개인정보 처리방침) is the governing text; this English version is provided for convenience.
Mountain Bridge ("we", "us") operates the game app "Nod" (끄덕, on iOS and Android, the "App"). This policy explains what information the App handles, who handles it, and the choices you have.
1. What we do not collect
- Your conversations. On iOS, the sentences you type and the characters' lines are processed only by Apple Intelligence on your device. They are never sent to or stored on our servers. The Android version has no AI: you talk by picking from prepared sentence cards, and the sentences you pick never leave your device either.
- Account information. The App has no sign-up and no login. We do not collect your name, email address or phone number.
- Progress and play logs are stored only on your device. You can delete them at any time in the App's Settings.
2. Information that is collected, and by whom
| Information | Purpose | Who handles it |
|---|---|---|
| Advertising identifier (on iOS the IDFA, only if you allow tracking; on Android the advertising ID), device model and OS version, approximate location estimated from your IP address, ad impression, click and reward events, error and diagnostic data from the ad SDK | Showing ads, granting rewards for rewarded ads, measuring ad performance, preventing ad fraud | Google AdMob, under Google's Privacy Policy. You can change the tracking permission at any time in iOS Settings, and reset or delete the Android advertising ID in your device settings. |
| App install and launch events, stage-clear events (stage name and turn count), purchase amount, advertising identifier (on iOS the IDFA, only if you allow tracking; on Android the advertising ID), device model and OS version. Conversation text and what you type or pick are never included. (From version 1.2 on iOS and from the first version on Android) | Measuring the performance of our ads on Facebook and Instagram | Meta Platforms, under Meta's privacy policy. In the EEA and the UK this is sent only if you allow tracking (on Android, only if you consent to personalized ads). |
| Purchase status (for example, Remove Ads) | Providing what you purchased, removing benefits after a refund | Apple App Store or Google Play. The App only checks whether a purchase is currently valid. |
| On iOS, when you tap "Send via KakaoTalk": the contents of the share card (stage title, challenge text, image and link), App and OS version, device model | Sending a share card through KakaoTalk (only when you choose it) | Kakao Corp., under Kakao's privacy policy. The App does not use Kakao Login and receives no account information. The App does not know who you sent the card to. The Android version does not include the Kakao SDK and uses your device's standard share sheet. |
| IP address and other access logs | Serving the remote configuration file and the web pages | Our hosting provider (Vercel Inc., USA) may process them temporarily to provide the service. |
| Crash logs | Fixing bugs | Shared anonymously through Apple only if you have opted in to "Share iPhone Analytics" in iOS Settings. On Android, shared anonymously through Google Play only if you have opted in to sharing usage and diagnostics data on your device. |
3. Purposes and legal bases
We use the information above to show ads, to process purchases and refunds, and to improve the App and fix errors. Where the GDPR or the UK GDPR applies, our legal bases are: your consent for personalized advertising (asked before ads are shown in the EEA and the UK, and changeable at any time), performance of a contract for purchases, and our legitimate interests in providing a stable, secure service and in showing non-personalized ads that fund the free game.
4. Retention and deletion
We do not keep personal information on servers of our own. Retention by the third parties above (Google, Meta, Apple, Vercel, Kakao) follows each company's policy. Progress and play logs on your device can be deleted at any time in the App's Settings ("Reset progress" and "Delete play log"), and are removed when you delete the App.
5. Processors and international transfers
- Google LLC (USA): advertising (AdMob); Android app distribution, payments and crash logs (Google Play)
- Meta Platforms, Inc. (USA): ad performance measurement (Meta SDK, from version 1.2 on iOS and from the first version on Android)
- Apple Inc. (USA): iOS app distribution, payments, crash logs
- Vercel Inc. (USA): hosting of the web pages and the remote configuration
- Kakao Corp. (Republic of Korea): KakaoTalk sharing on iOS, only when you choose it
We are based in the Republic of Korea, so information handled by the companies above may be processed in the United States and in Korea. These companies apply their own safeguards for international transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.
6. Your choices and rights
- Tracking: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Advertising ID (Android): device Settings → Google → Ads (on some devices, Settings → Privacy → Ads) to reset or delete it.
- Ad consent (EEA and UK): the App asks for your consent before showing ads. You can change your choice at any time in the App's Settings → "Ad privacy options".
- On-device data: App Settings → "Reset progress" or "Delete play log".
- If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland: you have the right to access, correct or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
- If you are a California resident: you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. Personalized advertising through AdMob may count as "sharing"; you can opt out by turning off tracking in iOS Settings or deleting the advertising ID on Android, and through "Ad privacy options" in the App. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. We do not knowingly sell personal information.
- Requests: email support@mountainbridge.co.kr. Because we hold no account data, we may ask you for details that let us identify the request.
7. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, or under the age of digital consent in your region (14 in the Republic of Korea). We do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will help remove it.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the App.
